Jenschke Orchards

When we were ready to give up since town didny have any peaches due to drought. My daughter had called this last spot and whomever answered said that they had peaches but when arrived there were but less then 20 peaches which was a bummer. But the rest of the place made up for it and was worth the drive back. We will be visiting next year we pray the lord will give them a much better crop year .

We had such a blast! there’s a jumping pad, basketball hoops, bubble station, corn pit, pumpkin picking, flower picking and so much more! Highly recommend buying peach ice cream since it’s made in house! There’s also a mexican restaurant on site but we didn’t get to go there at this time! Also if you’re going for picking fruit, make sure they are in season!!

We called one day early to buy peaches in bulk and we were told to arrive at 9 am to insure getting any peaches but we could buy as much as available. The next day we showed up at 9am and we were told they were going to limit what we bought, this was totally different from our conversation on the phone. We were not happy but decided to try picking blackberries and strawberries. This turned out also to be not as good. They had plenty of blackberries but they were sour. The strawberry patches were over picked and choked with weeds. Most were rotting or very small. This place uses the low supply of peaches to draw customers into buying other items at the store and/or lures you to pick fruit. We priced many of the items they had and almost all were over priced including the peaches. Classic tourist trap. Highly recommend to stay away from this bait and switch scam artist.

My husband and I had the best time. The peach orchard was closed for public picking this year, but we were still able to pick fresh strawberries & blackberries from the orchards! Plus, they were still selling their fresh peaches in their market, so your peach craving will be satisfied. Picking was so easy and fun. They provide fruit baskets as you’re entering the orchard areas; what you pay is of course dependent on what and how much you pick. The strawberries and blackberries were plump, juicy and perfectly ripe. The leaves in the blackberry orchard were sharp and itchy so just beware! Make sure you grab a wooden stick from their bucket before entering the blackberry section; it helps you push the sharp leaves away to get to the goods. Wear tons of sunscreen (no shade) & maybe some bug spray. After picking, we went to their fresh market which is located on the orchard grounds. We sampled blackberry, peach, & strawberry jams, salsas, preserves, & butters. OMG SO GOOD. Peach butter is my fav. We bought that, plus strawberry preserves & a jar of fresh honey thats made by Fredericksburg Fruit Farm. We then walked like 5 steps to a BBQ joint called Leroy’s; it is also located on the grounds of the orchard. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. I will write a review for them specifically, but just know it was so gooooood! After lunch, we walked back to the market to grab two pints of their homemade strawberry & peach ice cream (they also offer vanilla & blackberry). DONT PASS UP THE ICE CREAM!!! It’s incredible. Truly. It was an action packed day and we only had to drive to 1 place! Great place for a date, a family outing, or hanging with a group of friends. Friendly staff. If you’re visiting from out of town, you just gotta check it out!

Fun place to let kids get out some.enwegy and pick a pumpkin. Kids are 12, 10, and 9 and had a great time. Lots of things for smaller kids as well. They have redone it from a few years ago. Also added a BBQ place, so sit and have a beer while your kids play. Corn pit and corn maze pictured. Lots of walking but can also sit in shade.
